You can also block DVD's, Floppy disks, Tape drives as well through this same GPO. User Config -> Policies -> Administrative Template -> System -> Removable Storage Access If you'd like to know where this is exactly located in with the GPO, see below, it's pretty useful for what it is. There is no inter-medium unless you have this GPO pushed out to only certain OU's where you have users grouped together.Īt least using this method doesn't cost anything if you have Active Directory already setup. You can also create a GPO that can block the USB drives, but unfortunately this method only blocks all USB drives or allows them.
